TMI- pms and the all night drug store

I ate a lot this weekend. None of it awful. No pints of ice cream, no frozen pizzas, but I ate A LOT. I tried to remind myself to drink water every time I was about to eat... it worked sometimes.

After work Sunday I went to the gym because of all the eating. After the gym I stopped by the 24 drug store to get a cheap ($2) photo album. I walked down the candy aisle. NEVER walk down the candy aisle alone in the middle of the night during PMS...

I walked down the make-up aisle... If I had unlimited funds I would have picked up a little bit of everything, polish in fun sparkly colors, eye shadows in bolder colors, liquid eye liner because I want to try it...

I walked down the face product aisle... all of a sudden I'm worried about my acne, wrinkles, firmness, lack of tan, and age spots...

And finally I browsed the travel sized section... tiny little bottles are so hard to resist!

Ugh. I left there with $47 worth of stuff precariously stacked. (reusable tote left in the car- I just went in for a photo album!)

Best find: 3 glue sticks for the price of 2 and Necco chocolate wafers
Worst find: $8 photo album that I'm returning.

sore ass meat, yummy dinner meat

Tuesday's practice was a lot of fun. Even though we *practiced* falling on our asses. (I don't need to practice that!) I am still having the big toe joint pain from pushing off on my right foot; I iced my foot, knee, and low back after practice. Followed by putting on some arnica and heat compresses. I also made more skate boot adjustments... OK inside my right skate is 2 foot beds-(super feet for arch and original foam for padding) between the 2 is duct taped the Bunga gel disc pad under where my toe joint impression is. I also loosened trucks and changed to fat laces. (I was told they keep skates tighter in the right places.)

Ready for Wednesday practice?
Honestly I can't remember all the drills on which day, but Wednesday we did some funny "panty passing" drills. People worried about the legality of panty passing, but I enjoyed the additional task while skating, more communication and more attention paying. Rules Schmules. We also did some giant pack drills and sling-shot type hits. It was like playing a video game with people on skates! Awesome!

After practice my right foot was a sort of achy numb, but I de-skated for a few minutes, had a drink at the bar, and went over and skated 90 minutes of adult skate! Including fast skate. I'm not a fast skater, but I will skate as fast as I can!

Odd side note: I drank 2 1/2 (refilled) bottles of water while skating and didn't need to pee. That is how sweaty I was.

On my way home I was dying starving and then remembered pork loin chops in the fridge thawing! I pulled the chops out and made a salad, ate the salad while looking for a simple pork recipe. I hate recipes! I took the "how long it bakes" info and that is all. I mixed bourbon, mustard, cinnamon, powdered onion, salt and pepper, rubbed the chops and let them sit while I chopped an apple in little bits then put apples down, the chops on top, more apples, and poured the rest of the goo over it. Covered with foil and baked. It was good. VERY GOOD. Since then I've also made 2 kinds of chicken for my long work week (4 1/2 shifts in 3 days). I end up eating frozen dinners if I don't pre-make food...

I also spent the rest of the night and into the morning washing my gear and doing laundry. Smells good here!!

My great week ended on Friday. Here are my highlights:

Monday: Painted walls for SEAF, had a scrimmage practice that I jammed in! And late dinner with friends where the waitress gave us each 4 loaves of bread!

Tuesday: Met and helped the SEAF show director build the set. Had PMS and practice. I also only had 3 days of 4 hours/night sleep so I was not 100%...

Wednesday: Was at SEAF 10A-11P working on the set (and missing practice). The set was entirely made from cardboard, everything had to be cut out, scored, bent, glued, etc. I only got one paper cut!

Thursday: I organized paperwork and cut out surveys before helping finish the set. The director asked me to be a prop in the puppet part of the show and it scares me, but I said yes! Then I went home and got ready for the party. I wore hardly anything, I liked getting ogled as long as they didn't get too close and talk to me! It was funny squeezing through the crowd and rubbing my actual ass cheeks on people! Hahaha!

Friday: I packed food for work (graveyard shift), clothes for work (so I'm not in a garter belt till 8AM), clothes to be a table for the puppet show (all black), and got ready for the Party. There was major wardrobe malfunction (darn striped thigh highs!), but I made it and was only an hour late. (That was "my" late-later than I planned on, not late for the show.) I got to hang out with a friend who had worked security and we watched Twisted Monk do some hot rope bondage magic! Terri left before the main show started (kids and husband at home) and I got to watch the first half. It was amazing- the show was reviewed as a "Must see!" a "greatest hits of Seattle burlesque". Haha! And I was the table for a few minutes for the final puppet scene.

I had a blast! I ran off the stage and to my car and made it to work with 3 minutes to spare. Good thing Van doesn't care that I show up in a whirlwind and super short skirt!

Been at work since and I'm off in 2 1/2 hours. I don't think this week could top last, but here's to trying!

tmi: farty water?!

At work, my really good friend asks me if I drink a lot of water, "yes." Would I drink this "ionized" water and see if it helps me, "with what?" Anything, diabetes, skating, sleeping, energy... After walking the 1.5 gallon jug home from work in freezing temps I start drinking the ionized water... You know, not crazy, but I drink my 8 glasses a day.

Over the next 36 hours I had 2 bm's and continuous gas. After realizing the cause I called my friend, "What is going on?!"

"Do you like the water?" he asks excitedly.

"Um... it makes me fart! What is wrong with it?"

"It's ionized. That's what it does. It cleanses your colon!"

*jaw drop* "Could you warn a girl?! I went to work all farty, I have roller derby!"

"But it'll make your colon pink and shiny, you should see the before and after colonoscopy videos I had to watch before they'd let me buy the ionizer. You might be able to find them on youtube."

No thanks, but thank you for thinking of my colon...
